The magnificent cliffs can be seen right from the Georgian Military Road. Imagine alpine meadows, soaring eagles, marvellous silence and tranquility of rock-columns. Definitely recommended!

The hike to a picturesque Truso Gorge passes through a dramatic steep-sided canyon before entering the wide valley and leading to a crumbling hilltop fortress. Breathtaking alien landscapes, thermal formations, the noisy Terek and ruined villages — this is all about Truso.

This hike is a great chance to see the part of the route to the top of Mount Kazbek. The church literally stands above the clouds and seems to guard the way to Kazbek, and the glacier mesmerises with its beauty and fragility.

The monastery is clearly visible from Gudauri - it is located on the other side of the Aragvi Gorge, right on top of the mountain range at an alt. of 2300m. This place is full of legends and history.
