Rotana has signed Gudauri Ski Resort, the hotel group’s first ski resort. The management agreement with the Georgian developer Pontus was signed at a ceremony in Tbilisi on 22 May 2026, and Rotana announced the project on 3 June.
The resort will have direct ski-in, ski-out access to the Gudauri ski lift station and is about 120 km from Tbilisi International Airport. It will consist of two properties with approximately 400 rooms, linked by a bridge to a shared wellness facility.
The resort is planned to include:
- Spa and wellness facilities with bio and panoramic saunas
- Health clubs with indoor and outdoor swimming pools
- Signature and specialty restaurants, a cigar lounge and après-ski terraces
- Six meeting rooms
- Ski equipment retail and rental
- Kids’ and family entertainment
The architectural concept is by NOA, an Italian studio specialising in mountain hospitality, led by architect Lukas Rungger: the rooflines take their shape from the mandili, the traditional Georgian headscarf. Rotana has not announced an opening date yet.
