The hike to a picturesque Truso Gorge passes through a dramatic steep-sided canyon before entering the wide valley and leading to a crumbling hilltop fortress. Breathtaking alien landscapes, thermal formations, the noisy Terek and ruined villages — this is all about Truso.

This hike is a great chance to see the part of the route to the top of Mount Kazbek. The path will start from Gergeti Trinity Church (alt. 2170m), throught Saberdze pass (alt. 3000 m) and will lead us to Altihut - a mountain shelter at the alt. of 3014 m. This is a base camp of mountaineers who are going to conquer Kazbek.

Dive into history and enjoy magnificent views of the Lomisi Ridge and the Gudauri resort. According to legends, Lomisi Church was built on the site of an ancient pagan temple of the moon, which was the center of attraction for all local peoples.

Hike to Mt Sadzele - 3300 m altitude - is our home hike. In summer and autumn, you can climb here from Gudauri along a stony path and enjoy a magnificent view of Kazbek and all the nearby peaks. A great choice if you are staying in Gudauri and want to enjoy the beautiful scenery without having to go anywhere else.
